A few weeks ago I Jamicheal, attended the Spring Voicercise Student Concert.
This will be the 5th concert I have attended and the 2nd concert I have performed in. Walking into the setup behind the scenes I was not quite sure what to expect for this concert. Since I was not able to attend the last one.
What I found was a community of experienced individuals coming together to make magic happen. With that being said nothing has changed. And that’s a GOOD thing because Voicercise has yet to disappoint when it comes to supporting our fellow artist and putting on show with intent to impress.
My Voicercise Student Concert Play by Play
As time the to start of the concert was upon us, through the dim lighting I can see the audience approaching with open minds, excitement, and proud glistening eyes for their children, family and friends who would be in tonight’s performance.
As the starting announcements are cast and the crowd braces for entertainment the first note begins.
Every performance was spectacular.
So many young talented performers in the first 9. And then there was 10, my turn to take the stage and express to the audience my had work, my aesthetics, my emotions, all in 4 minutes and 20 seconds.
When my name was called and walked on the stage, I was blessed with many high praises from my dear friend, and mentor Roxy Miller followed by an embracing heartfelt hug.
As I took the Mic in my hand and could hear the note I knew what I came to do was going to be done. As I sang my song I looked into the crowd and at the other performers.
In that moment I knew they were receiving the message I set out to convey. “How to Save A Life” is a song that has comforted my own life plenty of times through my years. I thought that I should share it with everyone and that is exactly what I did.
My Voicercise Student Concert Aftermath
After my performance I was embodied in the applause from my fellow peers, and the audience, their faces were all wrapped with smiles and their voices full of energy, and excitement. I then walked away from that stage knowing that all went well.
I was met by my peers and the audience during the intermission with praises, and messages stating “keep up the good work”. All of the congratulatory messages and gestures received by myself and my peers are so greatly appreciated. They mean the world to us; I can speak for all of us with great confidence regarding that.
Once again it was a pleasure to attend another captivating Voicercise concert that has made yet another impression upon my life and my career. I too hope that others have appreciated this magnificent experience as much as I have.
